Fears of an AI investment slowdown have been washed away after Meta announced plans to double its computing facilities to 14GW by 2027 and SK hynix set its ADR offering price at a premium. Meta is currently pursuing a plan to secure 7GW (gigawatts) of capacity by 2026 and expand it to 14GW by 2027, with projections suggesting the company could invest up to $145 billion in AI infrastructure alone this year.

Aligning with Meta's expansion plans, semiconductor-related stocks such as Micron, AMD, and Broadcom rose by late 3% to over 5% in the U.S. stock market, showing strong gains.

It was revealed that SK hynix's ADR offering price was fixed at $149 per share, set at approximately a 3.1% premium to the converted domestic closing price. While this ADR offering, worth about $26.5 billion, is poised to potentially become the largest U.S. listing by a foreign firm, institutional investor demand was confirmed as orders exceeding seven times the offering volume poured in during book-building. SK hynix's ADR is scheduled to be disclosed on the 10th at 8 AM, followed by conditional trading on the 11th and official listing on the Nasdaq on the 13th.
