Ruling Democratic Party at 44%, Opposition PPP at 22% in Party Favorability Survey

According to the results of a public opinion survey released on the 10th, President Lee Jae-myung’s approval rating for state affairs saw a slight decline compared to the previous poll, while in terms of party favorability, the Democratic Party recorded 44%, doubling the figure for the People Power Party (22%).

An analysis of party favorability trends reveals that compared to the March survey, the Democratic Party fell by 6 percentage points, while the People Power Party rose by 3 percentage points. Meanwhile, the Rebuilding Korea Party and the Progressive Party each recorded 20% and 19%, respectively, indicating that the competitive dynamic among third-tier parties continues.

In specific evaluations of President Lee Jae-myung, positive responses stood at 53% and negative responses at 35%. While the economy and people’s livelihoods and diplomacy were cited as the main reasons for positive evaluations, the economy and livelihoods, along with high exchange rates, were simultaneously identified as factors driving negative assessments.
