Positive Rating at 53%, Down 1%p from Last Month... Negative Rating at 35%, Outside Margin of Error
In a Gallup Korea poll, the positive assessment of the President's job performance stood at 53%. The negative assessment was recorded at 35%, while 12% of respondents withheld their opinion. In the political party support survey, the Democratic Party of Korea came in at 42%, the People Power Party at 24%, and the neutral group with no supporting party at 26%.

The gap between the positive response of 53% (doing a good job) and the negative response of 35% (doing a poor job) is statistically significant. On the other hand, the difference between the Democratic Party of Korea (42%) and the neutral group (26%) significantly exceeds the margin of error. The People Power Party's support was tallied at 24%, a figure lower than the proportion of the neutral group.
Trend Changes Compared to Previous Survey
From June 25 and July 2, 2026, leading up to this July survey, the negative assessment rate showed a downward trend for three consecutive periods. Notably, the negative assessment in this survey dropped sharply by 6 percentage points compared to the June 25 survey. During the same period, the positive rating rose by a modest 2 percentage points. The 'withheld opinion' group showed an upward trend for three consecutive periods, recording a fluctuation of 5 percentage points.
In terms of party support, the Democratic Party of Korea rose slightly from 41% in the June 25 survey to 42% in the current survey. The People Power Party fell by 3 percentage points over the same period to 24%. Meanwhile, the neutral group, supporting no specific party, increased by 3 percentage points from 23% to 26%, showing a significant upward trend. The gap in support between the two parties widened from 15 percentage points in the previous survey to 18 percentage points in this survey.
