People Power Party (PPP) Leader Jang Dong-hyuk and his entourage visited the National Police Agency in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul on the 10th to request a meeting with Acting Commissioner Yoo Jae-sung, but failed to reach an agreement on media exposure, resulting in a 30-minute standoff and no meeting. The PPP had requested an open meeting, but police blocked the entry of reporters and aides, citing headquarters security regulations, and insisted on a closed-door session. After the meeting fell through, Leader Jang criticized the police's attitude, calling it 'the true face of the Republic of Korea police.' The PPP leadership had previously failed to meet the Gwangju Police Chief during a visit to the Gwangju Police Agency the day before, as the chief was absent.

Members of the Public Administration and Security Committee from the Democratic Party of Korea also visited the police agency on the same day and held a closed-door meeting with Acting Commissioner Yoo for about 40 minutes. Democratic Party lawmaker Kim Young-jin urged Acting Commissioner Yoo to conduct the investigation thoroughly, regardless of rank, in connection with the Jang Yun-gi incident.

Both ruling and opposition parties have consecutively visited the police agency regarding allegations of a botched investigation and cover-up by police in the Jang Yun-gi incident. The PPP is continuing to pursue the matter to uncover the judicial truth behind the incident.
