Democratic Party's Kim Min-seok, Jung Chae-rae Campaign for Support During Regional Tours

Candidates for the Democratic Party leadership continued to travel across the country this Sunday, the 11th, appealing for support. Rep. Song Young-gil and Rep. Ko Min-jung met with party members and voters in the Honam and Yeongnam regions, respectively. Rep. Song Young-gil remained in Honam until today, meeting with mayors in Jeonju and Iksan, while Rep. Ko Min-jung met with self-employed individuals and young party members in Chilgok, Gyeongsangbuk-do.

Former Prime Minister Kim Min-seok and former Chairman Jung Chae-rae emphasized their support for President Lee Jae-myung. Meeting with party members at the Yongin-gap committee in Gyeonggi Province, former Prime Minister Kim Min-seok argued that he is best positioned to back the President, stating, "I have worked in step with President Lee Jae-myung over the past three years and shared the process of designing state affairs, so our fundamental philosophical perceptions are identical."

Former Chairman Jung Chae-rae wrote on Facebook, "It is Jung Chae-rae who will protect President Lee Jae-myung to the end," volunteering himself as "the right person to achieve 'four-way unification' within the party, and promote unity and solidarity as well as a pan-democratic progressive alliance outside the party."
