Coca-Cola has officially confirmed a data leak amounting to 1TB. In a filing submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on July 16, 2024, Coca-Cola revealed that its dairy subsidiary, Fairlife, had fallen victim to a ransomware attack.

Coca-Cola stated that operations at four Fairlife production facilities in the U.S. have been normalized and expressed that the incident is unlikely to have a material impact on its financial condition or operating results. The company is maintaining a policy of non-disclosure regarding the specific nature and scope of the stolen data.

The Anonuis group employed a 'double extortion' tactic, encrypting system files while simultaneously exfiltrating data. The group is also known for possessing capabilities to permanently delete files, rendering recovery impossible.
