Jeong Cheong-rae: 'A traitor will betray again'... Kim Min-seok: 'Returning to the Party'

Jeong Cheong-rae and Kim Min-seok, competing candidates for the Democratic Party leadership, clashed head-on on the 2nd over their actions during the 2002 presidential election unification, vying for the 'pro-Roh' vote at a joint campaign rally held in the Busan-Ulsan-South Gyeongsang region.

During the speech, candidate Jeong Cheong-rae brought up the collapse of the unification between former President Roh Moo-hyun and former Rep. Rhee In-je, pressing candidate Kim Min-seok on his past actions.

Candidate Jeong criticized candidate Kim for failing to uphold 'loyalty,' unlike himself who had decried the injustice when former Rep. Rhee In-je withdrew his support for former President Roh, attacking him with the comment, 'Once a traitor, always a traitor.'
