Negative Assessment of State Affairs at 50.5%... Neck-and-Neck Race with Positive 45.9% Within Margin of Error

According to the Realmeter poll results for the last week of July 2026, positive ratings for the President’s state administration stood at 45.9%, while negative ratings reached 50.5%. This survey was conducted over five days from July 26 to 30, targeting 2,508 men and women aged 18 and older nationwide.

President’s Job Approval Falls for Third Consecutive Week

Positive assessment of the President’s job performance was calculated at 45.9%, a drop of 2.5 percentage points from 48.4% recorded in the survey on July 20. Positive ratings have shown a downward trend for three consecutive times, falling from 48.9% on July 13 to 48.4% on July 20, and then to 45.9% on July 30. The total fluctuation over the past two weeks was a decline of 3.0 percentage points.

Conversely, negative assessment came in at 50.5%, an increase of 2.5 percentage points from the previous survey’s 48.0%. Negative ratings also drew a rising curve for three consecutive weeks, starting at 47.7% on July 13, then 48.0% on the 20th, and 50.5% on the 30th. The gap between positive and negative ratings is 4.6 percentage points. This figure exceeds 4 percentage points, which is double the margin of error (±2.0%p), indicating a statistically significant difference.

Party Support Rates: Democratic Party Rises, People Power Party Falls

In the party support survey, the Democratic Party recorded 45.1% and the People Power Party recorded 37.7%. The gap between the two parties is 7.4 percentage points, showing a difference outside the margin of error. The Democratic Party rose by 2.0 percentage points from the 43.1% recorded in the July 20 survey. This marks a rebound after a slight decline from 44.8% on July 13 to 43.1% on July 20.

The People Power Party’s support rate was calculated at 37.7%, a drop of 2.3 percentage points from the previous 40.0%. The People Power Party had risen from 38.1% on July 13 to 40.0% on July 20 but returned to a downward trend within a week. The difference in support rates between the Democratic Party and the People Power Party widened from 3.1 percentage points last week to 7.4 percentage points this week.

Third-Party Support Rates and Changes

Support rates for third-zone parties showed a slight downward trend. The Reformed Party recorded 2.4%, a drop of 0.3 percentage points from the previous 2.7%. The Cho Kuk Innovation Party polled at 2.0%, a decline of 1.1 percentage points from 3.1% on July 20. The party had risen from 2.7% on July 13 to 3.1% on July 20 but fell again in this survey.

The Progressive Party’s support rate stood at 0.9%. This is a drop of 0.4 percentage points from the previous survey’s 1.3%. The Progressive Party recorded 63.7% in the July 13 survey but has since shown support below 1% following the 1.3% on July 20. This survey, conducted via wireless RDD automated response survey (ARS), has a margin of error of ±2.0% percentage points at a 95% confidence level.
