During the Democratic Party of Korea's巡回 primary held in Jeju on the 8th, candidate Kim Min-seok pledged to reduce intraparty primary conflicts to zero should he be elected party leader. At the joint rally in Jeju City, Kim presented a specific reform roadmap, vowing to overhaul personnel and membership structures and to proceed with alliance discussions with the Rebuilding Korea Party through procedural deliberation.

Candidate Jeong Cheong-rae hit back at Kim, urging him to apologize at the very least before discussing unity, regarding allegations of 'treason,' 'fomenting division,' and 'collusion with Shincheonji.' Jeong declared that if elected, he would make an ethics inspection into Kim his first act as party leader to clearly clarify suspicions surrounding his ties with Shincheonji.

Candidate Song Young-gil argued that he would complete judicial reform by pushing for the impeachment of Supreme Court Chief Justice Cho Hee-dae. Emphasizing cooperation between the party and the government—appearing to take aim at former Chairman Jeong—Song stated that the President should not be isolated.
