Google Overtakes Naver in South Korean Mobile Users for the First Time

Google has overtaken Naver for the first time. Last month, the Google app had 47,022,854 MAU, a difference of 177,837 users compared to the Naver app (46,845,017). This marks the first time this has occurred since IGAWorks' Mobile Index began tracking statistics in March 2021.

The Google app's MAU exceeded 40 million in May of last year, surpassed 46 million in May of this year, and had narrowed the gap with Naver to 245,836 users by June.

In contrast, the Naver app has maintained a stable or slowly increasing trend, staying between 43 million and 46 million users since January 2023.
