PM Han: Illegal Acts in Jang Mi-ran Missing Person Investigation to Face 'Zero Tolerance' and Severe Punishment

On the 24th, Prime Minister Han Seong-suk stated that, in light of the missing person case of Jang Mi-ran, she would strictly punish any illegal acts uncovered during the investigation process under a zero-tolerance principle, regardless of the culprit's rank or status.

PM Han instructed the National Police Agency to conduct a comprehensive reinvestigation of missing person cases, ordering that severe measures be taken to set an example if any instances of improper or illegal handling are confirmed.

Furthermore, PM Han directed the agency to overhaul the missing person investigation management system through system improvements, such as separating the officials handling cases from those responsible for closing them.
