New Mac Mini Priced at 1.499 Million Won, Price Up 68%

Apple has unveiled the new Mac mini featuring its proprietary 'M6' chip, which boosts AI computing performance by up to four times. The new model is equipped with 12 cores in both the Central Processing Unit (CPU) for data computation and the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) for graphics rendering. Compared to the previous M4 model, graphics performance has doubled and CPU performance has improved by 40%.

For the first time in a Mac mini, an AI-dedicated accelerator (neural accelerator) is applied to each GPU core, enhancing 'on-device AI' performance that runs directly on the device. Consequently, the speed of running Large Language Models (LLMs) on the device has improved by up to 4.8 times compared to its predecessor.

The domestic launch price is set at 1.499 million won, a 68% increase over the previous model with identical specifications (890,000 won). This rise is attributed to increased cost burdens stemming from recent hikes in memory prices.

In the domestic market, pre-orders will begin on the 27th at 10 AM, with official sales commencing on September 22. The device comes equipped with macOS 27, which supports Apple's artificial intelligence system, 'Apple Intelligence'.
