August 26 Public Data Report: Onwa 15.7 Million Won

A 500-gram large peach raised 15.7 million won through crowdfunding.

The protagonist is the 'King Peach' project by Onwa, a food brand unveiled for the first time on Wadiz. This figure is no coincidence. Dividing and reading over 200 activity records left by 175 companies across the three windows of procurement, recruitment, and funding outlines a single survival strategy for SMEs. The trend indicates that only verified products and proven capabilities can break through the market.

Direction of Public Demand Revealed by Procurement Contracts

The core keywords in procurement records are environment, forestry, and safety. Companies such as Daehun Environment, Daegyeong Forestry Development, and Forest Resource Development Co., Ltd., which are responsible for environmental purification and forest management, secured procurement opportunities one after another. The design and surveying sectors were also active. Hanin Architects & Engineers, Hanbit Engineering Architects, and Geumgang Geographic Information stood at the starting point of public infrastructure projects. Kyobo Life Planet Life Insurance made the list as an insurer, while technology and safety firms like Jinwoo ATS and Hyukshin Safety Technology were also included.

Government procurement contracts serve as a pillar for SME cash flow due to the relative certainty of payment recovery. The concentration of demand in environment, forestry, and spatial information suggests that public budgets are flowing toward carbon neutrality, disaster response, and data-driven administration.

Corporate Futures Written in Job Postings

The signals in the recruitment market are more direct. Renew People Co., Ltd. is simultaneously seeking an English-speaking global game GM, an expatriate manager for a Vietnam production plant, and an overseas sales team leader for defense electronics PCBs. This implies that an infusion of overseas talent is occurring in both gaming and defense. Human Consulting Group’s recruitment of a year-end tax settlement module developer and JSE’s search for an automatic control programmer point to the same trend: demand for system automation is spreading beyond the manufacturing floor to HR and payroll.

Hiring in the education and chemical sectors was also robust. While academies steadily recruited math teachers and administrative staff, Raonsearch sought environmental health experts for an advanced chemical manufacturer, and Background looked for quality control personnel for a KOSDAQ-listed chemical material company. Usefit Changwon’s recruitment of freelance trainers serves as a thermometer for the spread of flexible employment. Essentially, responses to ESG regulations are creating structural demand in the labor market.

Food and AI Intersect in the Funding Market

In crowdfunding, food and AI tools created a joint rally. Following Onwa’s King Peach surpassing 15.7 million won, the Charcuterie project recorded 870,000 won. AI content creation tool Ssongon raised 3.8 million won, and non-developer AI service builder Algorithm raised 1.79 million won, while the no-editing-required Shortform Maker SoonSsakTool also made the list of donors. It is a signal that consumers are opening their wallets for tools that save time.

Competition among lifestyle products is fierce. Clothing brand LOOK AT ME sequentially released cooling boxer briefs, body shower pads, and wrist smartphone holders, accumulating sponsorship funds through a series strategy. Trubo, featuring an anti-theft travel sling bag, secured 2.92 million won, and the Tenhead massager secured 1.53 million won, proving the power of single products. However, a charger project ended in the 100,000 won range. This highlights that it is a market where survival is impossible without passing product verification.

Transparency Risks and Remaining Challenges

The shadows are also distinct. Some companies received sanctions from the Fair Trade Commission, and several entities were confirmed to have negative issues. While corporate names are not public, this is why one must cross-read contract, recruitment, and funding records. Signals missed by looking at just one window are cross-verified by the three.

"To do the right thing, one must first learn to endure." — Thomas Huxley

Data is the most affordable way to verify that truth. Moving forward, procurement is expected to be led by environment and safety, recruitment by global and AI sectors, and funding by verified consumer goods. We are entering an era where the ability to read public data is the first step in investment and business.
