A Gallup Korea poll released on August 28 shows President Lee Jae-myung's approval rating for his job performance has fallen to a record low of 42% since taking office, while his disapproval rating has reached a high of 50%.

The survey, conducted by Gallup Korea from August 25-27 among 1,001 adults aged 18 and over nationwide, revealed a 3 percentage point drop in approval ratings compared to the previous week, and a 5 percentage point increase in disapproval ratings during the same period.

While respondents cited diplomacy (16%) and economy/public livelihood (11%) as reasons for positive evaluations, real estate policy (27%) was overwhelmingly cited as the reason for negative assessments, indicating that policy variables are the primary cause for the decline in approval ratings.
