Bitget Hacked for $350 Million… North Korea Suspected

Cryptocurrency worth approximately $351.6 million (about 500 billion won) was illegally withdrawn in a hack of virtual asset exchange Bitget.

Bitget CEO Gracy Chen said some IP addresses related to the attack were found to match virtual private networks (VPNs) used by a specific North Korean hacking organization. However, no final conclusion has been reached on any link to North Korea. Chen said the investigation is ongoing and further verification is needed.

Bitget is currently working with investigative authorities and blockchain security firms to trace the exact route of intrusion and identify the attacker.
