Bupyeong District to Fill Gaps in Nighttime and Holiday Pediatric Care

Bupyeong District in Incheon is setting up a support system that guides residents to medical facilities offering pediatric care, addressing the difficulty of finding treatment when a child suddenly falls ill at night or on a holiday. The measure is expected to provide practical help to parents who have struggled with the lack of nighttime and holiday pediatric services.

According to Bupyeong District and the Bupyeong District Council on the 26th, an agenda item on "Support for Pediatric Nighttime and Holiday Medical Care in Bupyeong District, Incheon Metropolitan City" was addressed at the plenary session of the 277th regular meeting of the district council. The item was introduced against the backdrop of a shortage of medical institutions providing pediatric care at night and on holidays. The district and the council jointly shaped the direction of the project.

A support system for medical institutions that can treat pediatric patients at night and on holidays is expected to be established in Bupyeong District, Incheon. The district said that once the system is in place, the gaps in pediatric care will narrow.
