KOSPI Plunges 177 Points in a Day, Closing at 6,625
The KOSPI closed at 6,625.93 on the 8th, down 177.87 points (2.62%) from the previous session.
That day, the decline was reflected on an electronic board in the dealing room (a bank office handling stock transactions) at Hana Bank's headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul, which displayed the KOSPI and other market movements.
The KOSDAQ index also finished the day at 892.27, down 6.16 points (0.69%).
