Emulators Showing Results in Running PS5 Games on PC

Emulators that run PS5 games on PC have recently been making notable strides. According to industry sources, open-source emulator development projects such as 'SharpEmu' and 'KyTyPS5' are underway on GitHub and Reddit. Within the development community, early boot and test videos of PS5 games such as 'Astro Bot' and 'Demon's Souls' are being shared one after another.

Normal gameplay is not yet possible. However, insiders have confirmed that development is progressing stage by stage.

Sony has effectively decided to halt the production of physical discs for PS consoles released from 2028 onward. Accordingly, emulators that run PS5 games on PC have been discussed as one alternative for the long-term preservation and reproduction of game data.
