Hana Securities Employees Pair Up One-on-One with Blind Students for Outing
Kang Seong-muk, CEO of Hana Securities, and employees of Hana Securities and Hana Asset Management held the 'Happy Spring Outing, Season 4' event on April 30 at the Korean Folk Village in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, pairing up one-on-one with 31 students from Seoul Samsung School to tour the site together. Visually impaired students rarely have opportunities for off-campus field trips due to safety and mobility support issues. This companionship program, which helps such students experience culture outside the classroom, has now run for four consecutive years.
At the event, students and employees paired up one-on-one to explore the folk village and experience traditional Korean culture. CEO Kang Seong-muk also visited the site in person and spent time with the students. The event began in 2023 with a spring picnic at Seoul Children's Grand Park, continued at Seoul Land in 2024, and moved to Incheon Cheese School in 2025.
Hana Securities took charge of running the event overall. Together with Hana Asset Management, which joined for the first time this year, it donated a total of 10 million won toward improving the environment of Seoul Samsung School's infirmary. Students also received group T-shirts and Bluetooth speakers as gifts.
"It is meaningful that the spring outing event with Seoul Samsung School has now continued for four years," said CEO Kang. "We will continue to explore and implement various ways to create shared value with local communities."
Separately from the spring outing, Hana Securities continues employee-driven social contribution activities, including plogging along the coastline of Yeongjong Island in Incheon in partnership with Hana Financial TI.
