October 26 Jobs Market Report: Even Rolex Is Hiring

백영우백영우 기자· 10/26/2026, 4:47:27 PM· Updated 10/26/2026, 4:47:27 PM

Rolex has opened its first standalone flagship store in Korea and is publicly recruiting a store manager, sales associates, and an OA (office administration) specialist.

According to recently compiled job posting data, 46 companies posted a total of 80 job openings. The most eye-catching sector is luxury retail. Humanist Co. posted openings for a store manager, sales associates, and OA staff for Rolex's first standalone flagship store in Korea, followed by Louis Vuitton Korea's recruitment of sales associates for Seoul, Gyeonggi, and nationwide, as well as successive postings for deputy managers and staff at Chaumet and FRED, jewelry brands of the LVMH Group. The company posted the most openings in this round of data.

Recruiting Firms Drive Demand for Experienced Hires

A notable structural feature of this data is that staffing agencies (headhunting and recruiting firms) account for a substantial share of all openings. Renew People was commissioned to fill experience-heavy positions such as an English-speaking global game GM, a research institute head at an ITS specialist company, and a team leader for overseas sales of automotive and defense PCBs. Raon Search Co. recruited an ESH (safety, health, and environment) specialist at an advanced chemicals manufacturer and experienced sales professionals at a cosmetics ingredients maker, with positions ranging from manager to senior manager levels.

ManpowerSearch Inc. handled executive-level hires including a CMO for a clean, vegan beauty brand and an e-commerce leader, while Good Career recruited a data center development project PM and switchgear electrical designers for a mid-sized manufacturer, from manager to department head level. HR Global Network Co. matched a range of SME roles, including training planning for imported car brands, a director-level finance and accounting role at a real estate firm, and office staff at a trading company. The trend of small and mid-sized enterprises securing experienced talent through specialized agencies rather than hiring in-house is clearly evident.

By Function, IT, Services, and Education Evenly Distributed

In terms of job functions, demand appeared for both development and security roles as well as customer-facing positions. Human Consulting Group sought a developer for a year-end tax settlement module in a payroll system, while Maverick Consulting recruited an information security officer (CYBER SECURITY OFFICER) and a Key Account Manager for automotive parts sales. P&F Career handled recruitment for customer center agents at Yogiyo and Bithumb, while JS E Co. directly hired an automation control programmer.

Education, healthcare, and lifestyle sectors were also present. Saenggak Academy and S.K English Academy sought a secondary school math teacher and an administrative instructor, while Peave Dermatology Clinic recruited an esthetician, a nurse's aide, and a counseling room manager near Yongsan Station. Usefit's Changwon branch sought freelance trainers, and Prinok Co. recruited a video designer for a fashion brand. The mix of freelance and part-time roles amid predominantly full-time hiring is another feature of this round of data.

Emerging Demand in Aerospace and Compliance Also Noted

V Aerospace Co., preparing for its 2026 business plans, is recruiting R&D personnel in Incheon and Daejeon and has expanded hiring to include an Executive Assistant in business support. HR For You Inc. was commissioned to recruit a compliance team leader for a foreign insurance company. This reflects how Korean companies' push to strengthen regulatory compliance organizations and the growth phase of the aerospace industry are being reflected in the jobs market.

In sum, this hiring market can be summarized along three axes: expansion in luxury retail, demand for experienced hires through recruiting agencies, and an even distribution across IT, services, and education. In particular, Rolex's opening of its first standalone store in Korea exemplifies how direct market entry by overseas luxury brands translates into demand for highly skilled sales staff. If sales hiring in the luxury and beauty sectors continues and outsourced recruitment for experienced manufacturing and technical roles keeps up, the second-half jobs market is expected to be driven simultaneously by both consumption and technology.
