President Lee Jae-myung said on the 29th that "whether in a shabby back alley or within anonymous online communities and social media, the people are everywhere," emphasizing that communicating directly with citizens in back alleys and online spaces is an essential duty of the president that he cannot give up. That day, Lee posted a message on his X account (formerly Twitter) titled "People live in back alleys too."

His remarks came as criticism has been mounting over his frequent social media posts, and he addressed the criticism directly, signaling his intent to continue communicating via social media.

The same day, while sharing an article about a university student booked on charges of spreading false information about Japanese military sexual slavery victims, Lee pointed out that "spreading false information is a crime. The police have formed a dedicated team and are conducting an intensive investigation," warning that "spreading falsehoods 'for attention or fun' can leave a major stain on one's life that they will regret forever."
