President Lee Jae-myung presented his appointment letter to Special Inspector Choi Gil-soo at the presidential office on the morning of the 30th, saying, "There is much to be done." During a tea meeting, President Lee emphasized to Special Inspector Choi that "above all, initial response and prevention are crucial when problems arise."

To the newly appointed special aides, President Lee urged that "special aides must bear in mind that their words and actions can be interpreted as the government's position."

Regarding committees directly under the president, he called for tangible effectiveness. President Lee said they "must not remain merely formal organizations but must play a substantive role," and asked the experts in each field to actively and frequently offer diverse opinions. Senior Presidential Spokesperson Kang reported that the president stressed these committees serve as a channel for conveying voices from the field, and that he himself is carefully keeping track of their content.

During the tea meeting, requests concerning individual figures also followed. President Lee asked Vice Chairperson Baek Jong-woo to pay attention not only to industrial accident deaths, suicides, and deaths of solitary confinement, but also to reducing traffic accident fatalities, pointing out that "the fact that some 20,000 people die each year without enjoying a natural end to their lives is an issue that must be examined." He told Chairperson Park Jung-hyun to faithfully fulfill her role, noting that she has many tasks ahead, including balanced development and local-centered policies.

Kim Ki-young, chairperson of the National Library Committee, expressed his gratitude, saying it was "the first time since the committee's launch that an appointment letter was delivered directly by the president," according to Senior Spokesperson Kang.
