Jung Chung-rae, floor leader of the People Power Party, rebutted President Lee Jae-myung's 'IV drip and nosebleed' remark on the 1st, saying, "Isn't it because you don't sleep at night, spend time on social media, and play too much golf?" President Lee had hit back on X on the 31st at opposition criticism of his frequent overseas trips, writing, "To a butchering knife, everything looks like a cow; to a pig, everything looks like a pig."

In a Facebook post on November 1, floor leader Jung wrote, "The message the president posted on social media yesterday about his overseas trips went beyond an emotional outburst and revealed a distorted view of governance." He said, "Whether the president travels frequently or rarely, if diplomacy were being handled properly, the public would not be casting suspicious eyes on the president and first lady's overseas trips."

floor leader Jung questioned, "Is it a sign of a normal Korea-US relationship that even the former ruling party leader and the chairman of the National Assembly's Defense Committee are struggling because they cannot obtain US visas?" He also cited as evidence the fact that US Ambassador to South Korea Michelle Park Steel acknowledged there were 'turbulent currents' in the Korea-US relationship.

floor leader Jung pointed out, "If the president's trips are notably more frequent than those of his predecessors, and if first lady Kim Hye-kyung has an unusually large number of solo schedules during those trips—and moreover, if the firms hired to carry out those schedules are ghost companies without even an office—then the public cannot help but ask what the purpose of this couple's trip diplomacy is." He added, "Stop blaming and comparing with the previous administration, and prove yourselves with results."
