Lee Jun-seok Claims Oh Se-hoon's Acrostic Poem Was Written with ChatGPT's Help
Reform Party lawmaker Lee Jun-seok revealed on the 2nd that the 'Oh Se-hoon' acrostic poem — 'Like a roly-poly toy, he weathered the storms, what a great wind' — which Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon delivered in a toast at a dinner celebrating his acquittal in his appeal trial (a retrial of his first-instance guilty verdict) on the 26th of last month, was created with the help of ChatGPT. In an interview on Channel A's YouTube program 'Political Signal,' Lee said, "The reason this acrostic poem sticks in my memory is that it fits perfectly with the situation of Mayor Oh standing firm like a roly-poly toy and overcoming adversity."
The dinner was held on the 26th of last month at the Seoul mayor's official residence. At the event celebrating Mayor Oh's acquittal in his appeal trial over allegations that he had third parties illegally pay for opinion polls conducted by Myeong Tae-gyun, Lee gave a toast while composing an acrostic poem on 'Oh Se-hoon.'
When the host asked whether this was a move to pave the way for a merger or alliance, Lee drew a clear line. He countered, "If I were thinking about a merger or alliance, I would talk with People Power Party floor leader Jeong Jeom-sik or party leader Jang Dong-hyuk — why would I talk with Mayor Oh?" He went on to describe the relationship, saying, "Since 2021, Mayor Oh and I have communicated with each other, hoping for each other's success." Lee added, "But there are selfish schemers who think, 'If I secretly take that person down, I'll move up.'"
