Jang Dong-hyuk, chairman of the People Power Party, emphasized to Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon that "the People Power Party and Seoul City are one team." It was the third official meeting between the two this week alone. At a budget policy consultation between the PPP and Seoul City held at the National Assembly on Monday — a meeting to jointly review and adjust next year's budget — Chairman Jang said, "Mayor Oh has chosen a different path from this administration," and praised him: "He has strictly capped debt at this year's levels while increasing the budget for projects that genuinely benefit citizens. This is what the People Power Party means by responsible fiscal management." Jang added, "The People Power Party will work together to deliver the 'change that has begun, overwhelmingly completed' that Mayor Oh promised. At the National Assembly, the PPP, and at City Hall, Seoul City, will join hands to protect the lives of citizens."

Mayor Oh told reporters after the meeting, "To win the general and presidential elections, the party must be run in a direction of unity and harmony, minimizing internal conflict and division." Regarding calls for independent lawmaker Ahn Dong-hoon to return to the party, he stressed that a cautious approach was needed, saying, "Conflict can only be minimized when there is consensus among the vast majority of party members."

Mayor Oh was reported to have had lunch with floor leader Jeong Jeom-sik after the consultation ended.
