President Lee Jae-myung to Chair Cabinet Meeting at Cheong Wa Dae on 29th

President Lee Jae-myung chaired and spoke at the Cabinet meeting held at Cheong Wa Dae on the 29th.

The government has established the first Basic Plan for Resource Security, which aims to reduce the share of crude oil imports from any particular region to 50 percent or below. On September 23, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy held the sixth Resource Security Council meeting at the Korea Trade Insurance Corporation, where it finalized the first Basic Plan for Resource Security containing measures to lower the dependence on specific regions for crude oil imports to 50 percent or less.

It marks the first time the diversification of import sources has been incorporated into an official government plan.
