Kakao Mobility Recruits Four Key Talents to Strengthen Next-Gen Autonomous Driving Technology
Kakao Mobility is seeking to secure four key research and development (R&D) talents to directly develop 'E2E (End-to-End) Autonomous Driving' technology, which allows artificial intelligence (AI) to process everything from perception to driving control in one go. Kim Jin-gyu, Head of Kakao Mobility's Physical AI Division, emphasized the importance of internalizing technology and leaping forward as a leading Physical AI company with this recruitment drive.
Kakao Mobility announced on the 20th that it has established a new 'Physical AI' tab on its careers page and opened applications for R&D talent in four core areas of its autonomous driving system. The positions include Autonomous Driving AI Engineer, Autonomous Driving SLAM Engineer, Autonomous Driving HW Engineer, and Autonomous Driving E/E Engineer. Applicants must have over 5 years of experience in these respective autonomous driving fields. While there are no specific limits on the number of hires or the recruitment period, an intensive hiring period will run until the 29th.
Kakao Mobility has been operating a dedicated autonomous driving division since 2018, conducting pilot projects in areas such as Pangyo, Gangnam, Daegu, Jeju, and Sejong. The company has steadily pursued in-house technology development and business expansion, most recently being selected as an autonomous driving passenger transport service operator by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and launching its services.
