Joo Ho-young: "Exclusion from Nominations Led to Impeachment"
People Power Party lawmaker Joo Ho-young has claimed that nomination failures within the party led to the impeachment of a president, protesting his own exclusion from the candidate selection process. Speaking on Channel A's radio show 'Political Signal', Joo stated, "Our party made nomination errors three to four times, ruined elections, and all of that led to the impeachment of our party's president." He emphasized, "We still don't know what we must not do to become a successful party," adding that while one mistake may be forgivable, repeating it two or three times is unacceptable.
Joo Ho-young also directed his criticism toward the leadership under Chairman Chang Dong-hyuk. He described Chang as someone with "the strongest mentality, the strongest face," and asserted that the chairman is responsible for both the appointment of former committee chair Lee Jung-hyun and the failure to rectify problems in the nomination process.
Regarding the possibility of running as an independent, Joo maintained his position that a final decision would be made after reviewing the results of his appeal.
