Ulsan Customs Resumes S-Oil Crude Supply After 10-Day Halt
S-Oil's crude oil supply, which had been suspended for over 10 days due to instability in the Middle East, has resumed thanks to Ulsan Customs' swift customs clearance procedures. Ulsan Customs granted immediate use permits for arriving crude oil transport vessels and processed customs clearance rapidly.
This arrival of crude oil, secured via a detour route instead of the Strait of Hormuz, at Ulsan Port has contributed to stabilizing the domestic oil supply chain, which had been a cause for concern.
This marks the first instance of regular imported crude oil, rather than government reserve oil, being supplied to S-Oil's Ulsan plant in over 10 days. The 2.08 million barrels of crude oil supplied this time, enough for three days of supply, were secured via a vessel that arrived at Ulsan Port on the 5th after passing through Saudi Arabia's Yanbu Port. The crude oil was directly supplied to S-Oil's oil tanks through underground pipelines.
