Former Daejeon mayors Yeom Hong-chul and Kwon Seon-taek spoke about Huh's character and administrative capabilities, based on their long-term observation of him in the local political sphere. Former Mayor Yeom described Huh as a 'humble and clean person,' while former Mayor Kwon praised him as a 'hands-on, pragmatic candidate,' highly valuing his four years of administrative experience. Actor Lee Won-jong visited Huh Tae-jung's campaign office in person on the evening of the 8th, endorsing him as 'the candidate who will make Daejeon truly Daejeon.' Kim Yong, former deputy director of the Democratic Institute, assessed Huh as 'the sole partner capable of resolving Daejeon's issues based on his central network' and a figure with 'policy capabilities connecting the central government and the region.'

Responding to the successive endorsements, preliminary candidate Huh Tae-jung stated, 'I am grateful for the trust from those who have been with me for a long time.'
