Man in his 60s attacks common-law wife and daughter with a knife, then commits suicide

A report was received around 5:20 PM on the 14th that a man in his 60s, identified as A, attacked his common-law wife B (50s) and his 20s daughter C with a knife at a home in Neungpyeong-dong, Gwangju City, Gyeonggi Province. As a result of the incident, B sustained serious injuries and C sustained minor injuries. Both were transported to the hospital for treatment. Immediately after the crime, A jumped from the building's rooftop and died.

B and her daughter C were reportedly visiting A's home to pack their belongings when the incident occurred.

Police investigation revealed that B had reported multiple instances of domestic violence from A and had filed a stalking complaint against him just seven days prior to the incident.

Police are currently investigating the exact circumstances of the incident.
