Man Arrested Two Weeks After Killing Mother in Incheon

A man in his 40s, who allegedly killed his mother with a knife in Incheon, was apprehended by police at a hospital on April 14, two weeks after the incident. Mr. A is accused of stabbing and killing his mother, Ms. B, a woman in her 60s, in an apartment in Wanggil-dong, Seo-gu, Incheon, around 8:50 AM on March 31. The National Forensic Service stated in its autopsy report that Ms. B appeared to have died from stab wounds.

After the crime, Mr. A sustained injuries to his hands and neck from self-harm. He was receiving treatment at a hospital and was arrested by police as he was preparing to be discharged.

The Incheon Seobu Police Station is investigating Mr. A on charges of parricide and plans to seek an arrest warrant.
