On the 17th, the ruling and opposition parties plan to process bills related to public welfare and political reform during a plenary session. The parties held a meeting on April 15th, presided over by National Assembly Speaker Woo Won-sik, attended by officials including Cheon Jun-ho, Senior Deputy Floor Leader of the Democratic Party, and Yoo Sang-beom, Senior Deputy Floor Leader of the People Power Party. Cheon Jun-ho stated that while political reform bills have not yet reached final agreement, discussions will proceed with the goal of passing them in the plenary session on the 17th.

Yoo Sang-beom added that although some contentious points remain, general consensus has been narrowed. Currently, detailed adjustments are being made through working-level negotiations.

The deadline for National Assembly members to resign their posts ahead of the June 3rd local elections is April 30th.
