Gwangju Teacher Assaulted by Student

At a middle school in the Gwangju region, a student assaulted their homeroom teacher, causing a concussion and mockery. On the 27th of last month, a teacher in charge of a first-year class at a Gwangju middle school was conducting a behavioral guidance meeting in the teachers' lounge with a male student known for frequent erratic behavior. When the teacher addressed the student's attitude during the conversation, the student pushed the teacher, causing them to fall.

The teacher hit their head on a desk from the fall, losing consciousness. They were transported to the hospital by ambulance, diagnosed with concussion symptoms, and admitted for treatment. The teacher was discharged the following day but is currently on sick leave due to psychological trauma and receiving psychological treatment.

Other teachers present in the lounge at the time stated that mocking remarks, such as 'You're overreacting,' were made towards the unconscious teacher.
