Lee Jong-ho, former CEO of Black Pearl Invest, received a reduced sentence of 4 months from his first trial after some charges were not accepted by the court in his second trial for violating the Attorney-at-Law Act. The Seoul High Court's Criminal Division 3 on the 16th sentenced the former CEO to 1 year and 2 months in prison and a fine of 71.1 million won. The sentence and fine were adjusted due to the appellate court's decision to dismiss some charges.

The court ruled to dismiss charges related to the defendant receiving money under the pretense of resolving personal criminal cases. With these charges excluded, his sentence was reduced by 4 months compared to the first trial, and the fine also decreased by 8 million won.

Previously, Lee was indicted by the Kim Geon-hee Special Prosecutor's Team on charges of violating the Attorney-at-Law Act, accused of profiting from other cases.
