A key figure who supplied drugs to the alleged kingpin, extradited from the Philippines on drug trafficking charges, has been apprehended in Thailand. The individual was extradited to South Korea by South Korean police on suspicion of bringing in or distributing drugs worth approximately 10 billion won.

The suspect, identified as Choi, is believed to have supplied a significant amount of ketamine and ecstasy distributed in the Seoul Gangnam district. It appears Choi continued his criminal activities even after fleeing to Thailand, and the actual distribution volume is estimated to increase further.

It has been confirmed that Park Wang-yeol, the alleged drug kingpin recently extradited to South Korea and currently on trial, also received drugs from Choi. Police secured clues identifying Choi as a drug supplier during their investigation into Park.

Police are considering publicizing Choi's identity and plan to investigate the specific methods he used to acquire and distribute narcotics. To this end, 13 of Choi's mobile phones have been seized and are undergoing forensic analysis.
