U.S. President Donald Trump said in a Florida rally that the U.S. will "take control of Cuba almost immediately." Trump made these remarks on Tuesday (local time) during a speech at an event in Palm Beach, Florida, framing the current situation in Cuba as a problem that needs to be resolved from an economic perspective.

During his speech, Trump stated, "Cuba has a problem. We're going to finish one first. I like to finish things." He then described a scenario involving U.S. military power, adding, "On the way back from Iran, if we bring one of our big aircraft carriers, the USS Abraham Lincoln, and park it about 100 yards offshore, they'll say, 'We're so grateful, we surrender.'"

The White House has not immediately offered any clarification or announced further policy plans in response to these remarks, nor has it presented an analysis of the potential economic repercussions on investment or trade. It remains unclear whether Trump's statements were mere political rhetoric or reflected concrete policy plans.
