Democratic Party Criticizes PPP's Jang Dong-hyuk Over 'Absurd Remarks' on Lifting Martial Law

Kang Jun-hyun, the senior spokesperson for the Democratic Party, on the 9th, characterized the remarks by People Power Party Representative Jang Dong-hyuk mentioning 'how to lift martial law' as 'absurd remarks' and criticized them. Representative Jang's comments at the foreign press conference were to the effect that 'impeachment is not the only way to resolve martial law'.

Senior Spokesperson Kang pointed out that these remarks 'trampled on the hearts of the people wounded by the rebellion,' and countered, 'Do you truly not understand why the people are desperately calling for President Yoon Suk-yeol's impeachment?'

He also added, regarding Representative Jang's past statement that 'there is a divine plan even in martial law,' that 'being under emergency martial law is not a divine plan, but a resolute judgment by the people.' He concluded, 'There will be no salvation for the People Power Party, which has betrayed the sovereign people.'
