Weekend Career Experiences Expanded, Boosting Exposure to Emerging Sectors like AI and Healthcare

The Chungbuk Provincial Office of Education's Career Education Center is expanding weekend career experiences for local elementary (5th grade) to high school (1st grade) students in emerging industrial fields such as AI, healthcare, and media content. This program is designed to help students prepare for future societal changes by experiencing real-world workplaces beyond classroom theoretical education.

The program is divided into basic and advanced types tailored to students' developmental stages, including various experiences such as drone operation, AI technology application, and forensic science analysis.

Three universities, including Chungbuk National University, Korea National University of Education, and Chungbuk Health and Science University, are participating to support in-depth exploration courses that reflect realistic research and industrial sites, such as AI career navigation, neuroscience camps, and healthcare experiences.

This program contributes to fostering realistic career views and self-understanding among students, and by concretizing future goals, it enhances academic motivation and self-directed learning abilities.
