The opening ceremony for the election office of Lee Gwang-jae, the candidate for the Hanam-gap National Assembly by-election from the Democratic Party, was held in Hanam City on the 9th. Candidate Choo Mi-ae praised Lee as a 'politician who has upheld trust and loyalty,' while candidate Woo Sang-ho emphasized him as 'someone who lowers his own stature,' willing to make concessions despite leading poll numbers for the sake of the community.

Candidate Lee Gwang-jae proposed solving the green belt issue, which covers 71% of Hanam's total area, and transforming the city through the utilization of state-owned and public land. He stated that the city's landscape could be changed by leveraging public land through long-term leases or joint development projects in cooperation with the government.

Additionally, he presented plans to create a cultural city by attracting the Korea National University of Arts, redevelop the old city center by creating an administrative complex town, resolve overcrowding in classrooms in the Gam-il district, and expand sports infrastructure, including the creation of park golf courses.
