US FCC Begins Review of ABC Station Licenses

The U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) will review whether Disney-owned ABC broadcasting stations will maintain their local broadcasting licenses.

The FCC chairman has begun examining the fairness and accuracy of ABC's news content, and issues raised regarding ABC's popular talk show 'The View' are also expected to be included in the license review.

This move demonstrates the increasing administrative response to critical voices since President Trump's administration took office. Last fall, the Trump Justice Department attempted to indict former FBI Director James Comey, but the court dismissed the case.
