Democratic Party Finalizes Seoul Candidates for Local Elections

The Democratic Party of Korea has completed the selection of candidates for the Seoul region in the 9th Local Elections. The party held its Seoul candidate nomination convention on May 11, 2026, at the KBIZ Hall of the Korea Federation of SMEs in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul.

Nomination candidates, including Democratic Party Seoul mayoral candidate Jung Won-oh, attended the event. On the morning of May 11, the day of the nomination convention, candidate Jung visited LG Science Park to observe a demonstration of the AI model 'Exaone' and held a policy briefing session with related personnel.

In the afternoon, he discussed issues with small business owners in the beauty industry at the National Assembly. Candidate Jung also appeared on a CBS radio interview and posted on his Facebook page on May 11, the day the nomination convention was held.
