Former Secretary Yoon Jaesoon Summoned Over Presidential Residence Relocation Allegations

The Kwon Chang-young 2nd Special Prosecutor's Office on May 14th summoned Yoon Jaesoon, former Senior Secretary for General Affairs at the Presidential Office, as a suspect on charges of abuse of power concerning alleged illegal activities during the relocation of the presidential residence under the Yoon Suk-yeol administration.

As the former Senior Secretary for General Affairs, Yoon Jaesoon oversaw the practical aspects of the presidential residence relocation.

Previously, the Board of Audit and Inspection had pointed out procedural flaws and issues with the appropriateness of budget execution related to the new presidential residence site in an audit of the Presidential Security Service.

The Kwon Chang-young Special Prosecutor's team is working to determine whether abuse of power occurred during the decision-making process for the residence relocation and whether the budget was used lawfully, through secured evidence and the summoned investigation.
