LS Posts Record-Breaking Q1 Operating Profit, Up 50%

LS Corp. posted an operating profit of 476.1 billion won in the first quarter, a 56.3% increase from the same period last year. This marks the highest quarterly operating profit in the company's history. LS Corp. also announced its consolidated revenue for the quarter was 9.5044 trillion won (up 37.5% year-on-year) and net profit was 241.9 billion won (a sharp 71.4% increase year-on-year).

By business segment, the M&M (Materials & Mechanical) division showed the most significant growth, with a 69.0% increase in revenue and a 154.2% rise in segment profit. The Electric division drove growth with a 38.2% increase in revenue and a 47.5% expansion in segment profit, fueled by growing demand for power infrastructure. LS Cable & System’s combined revenue increased by 5.1% to 2.0437 trillion won in Q1, with segment profit growing 16.9% to 97.1 billion won.

The company’s performance aligns with structural changes in the global market, including increased investment in power facilities due to the replacement demand for aging global power grids, the construction of large-scale AI data centers, and the expansion of the semiconductor and new industrial complex industries. LS Corp. plans to strengthen the competitiveness of its core businesses in line with these global market shifts.
