A fire broke out at the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) due to a drone attack, but it has been confirmed that there were no issues with the plant's operation or safety. UAE authorities announced on the 17th that a fire occurred in a generator. This attack did not result in any casualties or safety problems such as radiation leaks.

The construction of this plant, composed of four reactors, involved major South Korean nuclear power companies including Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) as the lead, KHNP, Samsung C&T, Hyundai Engineering & Construction, and Doosan Enerbility. Employees dispatched from KEPCO and KHNP, along with subcontractor staff, work at the plant.

UAE authorities have not yet clearly identified the perpetrator of this drone attack.
