Special Prosecutor Summons Former President Yoon Suk-yeol for May 26
The second comprehensive special prosecutor's team, led by Kwon Chang-young, has notified former President Yoon Suk-yeol's side to appear for questioning on May 26 or May 29 regarding the investigation into allegations of attempting to justify martial law against foreign countries.
The special prosecutor's team conveyed that if Yoon fails to appear on the 29th and does not comply with a subsequent third summons, they may initiate compulsory apprehension procedures.
Previously, the special prosecutor's team had requested Yoon's appearance as a suspect in rebellion charges under the Military Criminal Act on May 30, but the investigation could not proceed as Yoon's side refused.
