Air Force Academy expulsion review granted after 33 years

Yoo Jung-min, who was expelled from the Air Force Academy 33 years ago, has been given an opportunity to explain his grievances through a rehearing trial.

The court has accepted the rehearing of the lawsuit Yoo filed against the Air Force Academy, seeking the invalidation of the disciplinary action.

Yoo entered the Air Force Academy as a member of the 44th class in 1992 but was expelled the following year for using informal language and assaulting a senior cadet. This rehearing comes 33 years after the disciplinary action was imposed.
