Kim Chong-in Skeptical of Park Geun-hye's 'Queen of Elections' Title, Calls It 'An Old Saying'

Kim Chong-in, former interim leader of the People Power Party, expressed strong skepticism about the significance of former President Park Geun-hye's participation in election campaigns. He dismissed the title 'Queen of Elections,' once used to describe Park, as a relic of the past, predating 2011. He assessed that the influence of a specific individual making a brief appearance to offer assistance would be minimal. Kim added that the political mood for elections following President Yoon Suk-yeol's impeachment is already solidified.

Regarding Park Geun-hye's visit to Chilsung Market in Daegu on the 23rd to support a People Power Party candidate, Kim predicted that the election results would be similar to the 2018 local elections, given the People Power Party's loss of public trust as a political party.

On remarks by Shin Dong-wook, a People Power Party lawmaker, offering a 'different evaluation of the impeachment process of President Park,' Kim questioned, 'What kind of evaluation is intended now that the impeachment has already passed?' He pointed out that Park, like President Yoon, is an impeached figure and urged a cool-headed assessment of her standing in the public's perception.

Kim believes that Park Geun-hye's political influence has diminished compared to the past.
