Jeonnam Achieves Record-Breaking Early Voting Turnout, Highest Nationwide

Early voting for the 9th Nationwide Simultaneous Local Elections was conducted nationwide on May 29 and 30.

Jeollanam-do (South Jeolla Province) recorded the highest early voting rate nationwide in this election at 37.42%. This figure is higher than the 31.04% recorded during the 8th Local Elections and represents the highest participation rate among the 17 metropolitan cities and provinces nationwide. The high early voting rate in Jeonnam demonstrates strong public interest and willingness to participate in this election.

Gwangju also recorded a high participation rate, with 26.28%, an increase compared to the 17.28% in the 8th Local Elections.
