Jeong Cheong-rae's 'Number 1 in Honam' vs. Jang Dong-hyuk's 'Seoul Coffee'

Immediately after a fatal fire at a plant in Daejeon on the morning of June 1, Democratic Party leader Jeong Cheong-rae received news of the accident and ordered a halt to all campaign activities. He then personally visited the accident site to express condolences.

Previously, on May 31, Jeong was campaigning in Gurye, South Jeolla Province, urging support for a Democratic Party candidate with his plea of 'Number 1, whether you like it or not.' Meanwhile, People Power Party leader Jang Dong-hyuk was campaigning near Hongdae in Seoul, promoting 'Freedom of a Cup of Coffee.'

People Power Party leader Jang Dong-hyuk also instructed his respective campaign teams to refrain from using jingles and elaborate choreography, and to conduct a calm election campaign, signaling a shift in the campaign's tone.
